NEXUS Golf Club

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 September 2026

This policy covers the NEXUS Golf Club iPhone and Android app, published by NEXUS Golf Club, 100 Church Street, New York, NY.

It describes what the app does with your information. It is written to match what the app actually does. If something below stops being true, this page is updated with it.

The short version

What the app handles

Your Golf Booking account

You sign in with the Your Golf Booking credentials you already use for the club. The app sends your email and password to Your Golf Booking to sign in, and receives a session token in return.

That token is stored in your device's secure keychain (iOS Keychain, Android Keystore). It is sent only to Your Golf Booking, and only to prove who you are.

Your Golf Booking's session tokens last thirty days and cannot be renewed, so to save you signing in every month the app also keeps your Your Golf Booking email and password in that same keychain and uses them quietly in the background to obtain a fresh token before the old one runs out. This is the one place in the app where convenience was chosen over strictness, so it is worth stating plainly. Four things constrain it:

If you change your Your Golf Booking password, the stored copy stops working and you will be asked to sign in again, so changing your password remains a reliable way to cut a device off.

From your Your Golf Booking profile the app displays your name, email address and, when the club has assigned one, your member number.

Your reservations

The app requests your own bay reservations from Your Golf Booking so it can show them to you: the date and time, the bay, the length of the booking and its status. It cannot see other members' bookings.

If you open a reservation on the Your Golf Booking website inside the app, the app reads the lock-screen PIN shown on that page and stores it on your device only, so it can be displayed on your booking without you having to look it up again. That PIN is never sent to us or to anyone else.

Payment details

Card details are collected by Stripe using Stripe's own secure payment sheet. Your card number never passes through the app or through the club's servers, and we never see it. We receive only what Stripe shows us: the card brand, the last four digits and the expiry date.

Stripe processes this as an independent controller under its own privacy policy: https://stripe.com/privacy

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules reminders for your own bay reservations: when you book, an hour before, and fifteen minutes before.

These are created and stored on your device. There is no push server, and no notification data leaves your phone. You can turn them off at any time in your device settings.

Club events

The Events screen loads a published listing from the club. It contains no personal information and no request identifying you is made.

Pages that open inside the app

Reserving a bay, booking a lesson and booking a club fitting open the relevant provider's own website inside the app:

What Who
Reserve a bay, manage reservations Your Golf Booking
Private lessons Acuity Scheduling
Club fitting True Spec Golf

Your session is passed to the Your Golf Booking site so you do not have to sign in twice. It is never passed to Acuity or True Spec. The app checks the website address before sending it, and those are separate companies operating under their own privacy policies.

What the app does not do

Who we share information with

Only the companies needed to run the club, each acting under their own privacy policy:

Company Why
Your Golf Booking Membership and bookings, the club's booking system
Stripe Card storage and payments
Apple / Google App distribution and delivery of TestFlight or store builds

We do not share your information with anyone else except where we are legally required to.

How long information is kept

Your membership and booking records live in Your Golf Booking for as long as you are a member, under the club's own retention practices.

On your device, the app keeps your session token, your cached profile and any lock-screen PINs it has read. Signing out clears the session token, and deleting the app removes all of it.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what personal information the club holds about you, correct it, or delete it. Under New York law and, where it applies to you, the GDPR, you may also object to or restrict certain processing.

Deleting your app data is immediate: sign out, or delete the app. To request deletion of your club membership records, contact us below.

Children

The club admits members aged 10 and above for instruction, accompanied by an adult. The app is intended for adult members managing their own membership. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects how your information is used, tell members directly.
